Utilizing our channel partner Hansa-Flex, a global leader in fluid conveyance, we fabricate OEM lube system hose kits for many OEM wind turbine gearbox types.

Hoses Unlimited hose assemblies from Hansa-Flex are engineered for longevity and reliability after being installed up-tower. Each Hansa-Flex KP200S braided hose assembly has been manufactured to SAE 100R or EN 853 Specifications utilizing precision machined steel with corrosive resistance surface protection: electro galvanized, yellow chromize.


This precision care will assist in reduction of wear on gearbox and bearings.

  • ​Hoses Unlimited Technicians have reverse engineered each assembly type to original equipment specs and fitment to the challenging tight space around gearbox geometry. Special 220mm long drop Hansa-Flex connectors to traverse gearbox casting undulations are in stock for kit assemblies.

  • ISO Level cleanliness levels to 18/16/13 with removal of 2–5-micron particulate via a high-pressure foam projectile & hose ends shrink wrapped sealed for transportation, thus ensuring no contaminate reentry. 

  • Each Hose Assembly is tagged with a serial number identifier. The six-digit code identifies all product features of hydraulic connecting elements - as precisely and individually as a fingerprint. The unmistakable, yellow label with the X-CODE is clearly visible and permanently attached to the hose line and enables our customers to purchase spare parts precisely and clearly – immediately.

ISO Cleanliness

Hoses Unlimited adheres to the industrial standard written by the American Gear Manufacturers Association in cooperation with the American Wind Energy Association. It provides guidelines for maintaining gearboxes for use in wind turbines. We ensure all assemblies are tested and cleaned to ISO 4406:99 cleanliness specification for wind turbine gearboxes.

AGMA/AWEA 60062 discusses many elements of the lubrication system that determine oil cleanliness including:

Table 1 gives guidelines for oil cleanliness designed to ensure adequate cleanliness of new oil used for factory tests, cleanliness of gearbox assembly and cleanliness of oil used in service.

Hose assembly internals can collect particulate over the lifetime and contain permanent embedded debris. This permanent debris and hose structure damage may occur during the gearbox life span where new engineered hose technology is essential. Consequently, when installing a new/refurbished gearbox, it is highly recommended to replace the hose assemblies or a single hose assembly in the case of point of use damage.
